  1. Brilliant. You are of course technically correct. My only observation is this is not a theocentric as I think it should be. Jesus did die to save us, but He really died to glorify His Father – His singular and hopefully our singular purpose. Keep up the great work!

    • Bret,
Thank you!.. You are absolutely correct. Some verses that I think speak to what you are saying:

Jn. 13.31 – When he had gone out, Jesus said, “Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in him.

Jn. 8.54 – Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say, ‘He is our God.’

Phil. 2.11 – and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

1 Cor. 10.31 – So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

Matt. 5.16 – In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Jn. 17.5 – And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.
      – It’s crazy how Jesus, the Father and the Holy Spirit had perfect community together before things were even created, yet to further glorying the other parts of the Trinity he did come down to earth as a man. Awesome!
